Calling All Glancers! G&GR Wants You!

Windows Phone and Windows 8 are in the middle of a unification dance. Familiar APIs, familiar UI paradigms, and being likely marketed as a family of devices. However, instead of this dance being lock step, its more like one partner is stumbling around and they’re knocking the punchbowl off of a nearby table.
There have been numerous, avoidable, just downright puzzling misses by Microsoft. Most significant being a lack of transparency. It is now September, with very little time left until WP8 general availability and we have no SDK. Thats unacceptable. There’s just no defending it.
They fumbled so bad with the WP7.8/8 messaging its astonoshing. This was just a downright bad decision. If WP7.8 has more features, they need to say something. Yesterday. Seriously.
Developers are the back bone of Windows and Windows Phone. It is an indictment on their entire developer outreach aparatus that this even happened.
