Florida Mall Microsoft Store Grand Opening!

The Florida Mall, Orlando

Finally, Microsoft brought one of their awesome retail stores to my area. I’ve waited years to walk into one of these stores, and MS definitely showed up guns blazing!

All of us at iFix (my workplace) were beyond impressed with the look of the store, not to mention the amount of MS technology and how knowledgeable the staff was about all of it. The Apple store (which is literally only separated from the MS store by one large empty storefront) will have a bit of a run for its money now here in Central Florida. I even heard from a friend of mine who works at the Apple store here that it’s all the other Apple employees are talking about these days, and with genuine excitement. It actually seems like they will be friendly neighbors! That’s good to hear, I was expecting Gaza strip!

Needless to say, Microsoft had all their best products out on display. Wall to wall flat screen TVs displayed beautiful images of Microsoft goods and services. They had interactive displays or TV demos of all their products, including Xbox, Windows Phone, Office, Windows 7, and Windows 8. Of course there was also a wide array of powerful PC computers from different manufacturers.

Everything from Xbox (a Dolphins themed one at that!), to Kinect, to Windows Phone was on full display!

It’s a great time to be a Microsoft fan. With their new lineup of products and services coming this fall and stores popping up in more places at a faster rate, Microsoft and their products are poised to become bigger than ever.
